History
One of our strong points is that GRITA was created as an IT Economic Interest Grouping dedicated to management companies of performers rights (Adami) and authors' right (SACD). As such, we have started with producing in the 80s and 90s, the first distribution system of SACD. (Society of Drama Composers and Authors)
Since 2003 GRITA has become a completely independent IT company with adjusting a widened business field (Finance, Health, E-commerce, Telecom...), however GRITA's team continues to support its main and long-standing customers. These management companies still outsource their information system by custom development done by GRITA.
GRITA also supplies international groups of management firms managing companies with IT services, develops and implements various international management platforms and sharing business data (SCAPR, IPDA and VRDB).
Thanks to its vast experience in copyrights field, GRITA enjoys both a theoretical and practical knowledge of this specific business. Important is the fact that this area of knowledge also includes very current needs of multi-country exchange (data and rights). This extended scope includes exchange of broadcasted works, and artistic works repertories's sharing.
Answering it's additional business areas' demands, GRITA has developed a “Finance” application (Market ID). Therefore GRITA has extensive expertise on the issues of managing data exchanges on financial sectors. Thus, we can provide a complementary view: when necessary, we are able to call upon our financial business intelligence’s expert consultants in order to capitalize on some of their best-practices in this sector (dataflow management, data processing, approval, "matching" of data, analysis and relevance, grouping and deduplication ...).
Feature-rich business solutions for Copyrights and Performing Rights's management
GRITA has to its credit a rich experience with custom developments behind them, GRITA's team have generated a large range of application modules dedicated to the management of Copyright and Performing rights.
Business support of GRITA:
From the various constraints related to any performers' rights and / or Copyright management project described in detail below, GRITA backs up with its know-how to offer different courses of architectures which can be implemented in order to built a specific solution.
GRITA’s roles and support on any project concerning Copyright management
- Defining the scope of your new application and business rules ;
- Databases's modelling in line with current needs and allowing to manage increased volumes ;
- Custom development of the application ;
- Data migration ;
- Setting up the application to the different populations of users.
Major contexts of business application, and constraints related to the Copyright management:
Project for a single Management Company:Any implementation of copyright' managing solution and Performing rights, involves following steps:
|
Inter-company collaborative projects:Features and GRITA's strenghts in accordance with demands specifics to abroad distribution management projects: implementation of international data exchanges systems. In the context of cross-border payment, companies share their artists files (members directories), their works' repositories, their broadcasting rules (of phonograms) in order to collect and distribute royalties of performers who are broadcasted abroad.
|
Finally, to these technical and / or functional constraints, we also noticied and managed the necessity to take into account other inherent needs in this activity field such as:
- Priority on each managing company's governance on local activity: in the case of a data exchange system related to a common database, GRITA has the experience to set up a system allowing the sharing of relevant information, while partitioning the administration and control of management data of each member;
- Adaptation to budgetary constraints: GRITA’s many experiences in the custom development of copyrights and performing rights management solution, now enabled us to capitalize this practical knowledge in order to design and deliver functional modules of any scale.
The process of treating files therefore requires a real knowledge of data and information systems about copyright and performers' rights management
This is especially true in international contexts,in order to to achieve the integration of inter-company data.
